We run with you! – Charity Walk 2021

Overath, 28. März 2021 On the occasion of this year’s International Weeks against Racism from 15.3.2021 – 28.3.2021, a “Charity Walk” will take place in the Oberbergischer Kreis. Initiators are the Caritasverband Oberberg e.V., the District Sports Association and the Coordination Office for Social Development of the Oberberg District. The employees of BARLOG Plastics GmbH support this social project and thus stand up against xenophobia and for a good coexistence.

During the two-week campaign period, the employees run or walk a self-determined route. The length of the route and the speed are irrelevant. So everyone can take part, adapted to their individual state of fitness. “We think it’s great that even in this day and age the opportunity is offered to get involved socially through exercise,” says Peter Barlog, Managing Director of BARLOG Plastics GmbH. “But sponsoring alone is not enough for us – we would also like to “show our face” and have invited our employees to take part in the run. BARLOG Plastics will pay the entry fee for the registered employees and thus support further social projects in the Oberberg district.

The response from employees was gratifyingly high and we were able to record numerous registrations for this event. “We were very pleased with the popularity and positive response among our workforce and we are thrilled that our employees are standing up against racism in their free time,” said Peter Barlog. “We have people of many different nationalities working for us – so it’s only natural that we support this campaign.”
