Subject of the 25th Engelskirchen Plastics Technology Days: “Increasing competitiveness”
The European plastics industry is facing major challenges. Competition from international suppliers, including those from low-wage countries, is creating immense cost pressure.
At the same time, there is a lot of work to be done: Europe wants to be a pioneer in the transformation to climate neutrality and is placing great responsibility and additional costs on the industry. Demographics and the tarnished image of “plastics” as a material are exacerbating the shortage of skilled workers and sparking a veritable “war for talent”. Digitalization is putting existing business models to the test and requires continuous investment to keep pace with the competition. The air for adequate margins is becoming increasingly thin for the plastics industry in Germany.
The anniversary edition of the Engelskirchen Plastics Technology Days, on 23rd and 24th of June 2022, will focus on ways and means of increasing competitiveness in around 20 specialist presentations and an accompanying exhibition. The conference topics range from new technologies to best practice examples & funding opportunities to the development of new markets.
In addition to the high-quality lecture program, the 25th Engelskirchen Plastics Technology Days, planned as a presence event, with evening get-togethers in a cozy atmosphere, offer ample opportunity for exchange and networking with speakers, exhibitors and industry colleagues.
