Registration deadline extended: “wip-Forum Plastics Practice” offers industry the latest know-how on the circular economy

Overath, March 18, 2025 – Companies from the plastics processing industry have one last chance to register for the “wip-Forum Plastics Practice: Engineering Plastics in the Circular Economy” on March 27, 2025 in Hanover. Due to the high relevance of the topic and to enable further specialists from the industry to participate, the registration deadline has been extended until March 21, 2025, 12:00 noon.

The wip network once again invites you to an intensive exchange of expertise this year. The event will focus on the topic of “Engineering plastics in the cycle” – a crucial aspect for a sustainable future for the plastics industry. Plastics are an integral part of our everyday lives and modern industry, but at the same time there is growing pressure to find solutions for environmentally friendly use and recycling. The European Union is increasingly demanding a circular economy for technical plastics and components outside the packaging sector.

Expert knowledge for the sustainable use of plastics

The event, moderated by Prof. Dr.-Ing. Hans-Josef Endres (IKK at Hanover University) and Peter Barlog (Managing Partner of BARLOG Plastics GmbH), offers a comprehensive overview of the current state of the art, future requirements and innovative solutions for the circular economy with engineering plastics. Top-class speakers from research and industry will present the latest developments and strategies for the sustainable use of plastics.

Variety of topics and target group

The forum will examine the circular economy of technical plastics from different perspectives. The focus will be on the regulatory framework as well as recycling-friendly design and efficient recycling processes. Practical applications and sustainable usage concepts will also be discussed. The event is aimed in particular at manufacturers, product designers, processors and users of engineering plastics, components and recyclates, as well as sustainability officers. Companies that are facing up to the challenge of the circular economy and want to bring their employees up to date should not miss this opportunity.
