NEW: Sigmasoft Virtual Molding at BAHSYS

As of the beginning of 2016, BAHSYS is further expanding its CAE Services business area and, with Sigmasoft Virtual Molding, now offers true 3D simulation of flows, heat flow and warpage with all process details as a service.

BAHSYS’ CAE Services business area has been offering a comprehensive portfolio of computer-aided design services for many years: from FEM structure analysis, geometry and topology optimization to injection molding simulation including shrinkage and warpage.

From the beginning of 2016, BAHSYS offers significantly expanded injection molding simulation capabilities using Sigmasoft Virtual Molding: from the simulation of flow phenomena, such as free-jet formation, to multi-component injection molding and inserts, to the simulation of entire injection molds including hot runner, the new options range.

As an independent development service, the service is part of a comprehensive range of individual services offered by BAHSYS, but is also available as a package with injection-molded prototypes (protosys Rapid Tooling) or in connection with development projects using materials from the BARLOG Plastics range.

The use of Sigmasoft Virtual Molding in the development phase offers a wide range of benefits for our customers and supports the solution of complex problems in injection molding throughout, from design to processing:

– Developers and designers can identify manufacturing problems or critical behavior of injection molded parts in operation long before the first prototypes exist, thus shortening development times and minimizing risks.
– Moldmakers can optimally design mold tempering, gating, hot and cold runners, and ejectors in the first approach.
– Processors can quickly find the optimal manufacturing parameters to realize the required quality and productivity.
