HEW-CABLE, MÜLLER TEXTILE and BARLOG Plastics start training cooperation
Overath, 03.04.2023 Increasing the attractiveness of training, creating a benefit for their own trainees and enabling them to look beyond their own horizons. These were the basic ideas of the three companies HEW-KABEL from Wipperfürth, MÜLLER TEXTIL GROUP from Wiehl and BARLOG Plastics from Overath when they joined forces to form a training cooperation. After 6 months of intensive planning, the practical part of the cooperation will now start when the first trainees gain an insight into the participating companies from 3 April 2023.
Three strong companies use synergies for apprenticeship marketing
The cable manufacturer HEW-KABEL from Wipperfürth, MÜLLER TEXTIL as a producer of technical textiles and BARLOG Plastics as a full-service provider of high-performance plastics and development services – they are all specialists in their industry and offer attractive apprenticeships for the start of their careers. “Finding suitable apprentices has become more difficult in recent years,” says Elke Nentwich, Human Resources Manager at MÜLLER TEXTIL. To increase the attractiveness of starting a career with an apprenticeship, the three companies are now using the jointly formed cooperation as an incentive for good apprentices and letting them get a taste of each other’s companies. “This gives them the opportunity to discover the commercial area, the production environment or the laboratory and measurement technology area of each other’s companies,” notes Boris Korlatzki, Human Resources Manager and CFO of BARLOG Plastics GmbH.
Exciting insights into other companies and strengthening personal development
Getting to know other companies, discovering their business models and also understanding products, techniques as well as processes offers apprentices special opportunities for strengthening their own development. In addition, they receive inspiring impulses through the exchange with trainees from other sectors, which they can use for their own training profession. For a fortnight, the apprentices are allowed to get to know one of the partner companies and discover the working day of another industry. “We are pleased to be able to offer this benefit to our apprentices and to have found suitable cooperation partners in BARLOG Plastics and MÜLLER TEXTIL,” concludes Andreas Schletter, HR Manager at HEW-KABEL. From 03.04.2023, the first trainees will be guests of a cooperation partner and will receive new and exciting company insights for a fortnight.
