Frank Barlog is the new chairman of KIO e.V.

Overath, 22 March 2023 On 9 March 2023, the general meeting of Kunststoff Initiative Oberberg e.V. took place in the new hall of Brehmer GmbH & Co. KG in Nümbrecht-Elsenroth. The new elections of the board were on the agenda of the well-attended meeting. Frank Barlog, managing partner of BARLOG Plastics GmbH, was unanimously elected as the new chairman of KIO e.V.

Elections to the board of directors at the general meeting of KIO e.V.

At this year’s general meeting of KIO e.V. on 9 March 2023, reports were first given on the events and activities of the respective departments of the association. This was followed by the election of the board of directors, which was newly elected for the next two years. Frank Barlog, managing partner of BARLOG Plastics GmbH, was unanimously elected chairman of the KIO e.V.. Prof. Dr. Simone Lake (TH Cologne) will take over the 1st deputy chairmanship. Carsten Pies (GC-heat Gebhard GmbH & Co. KG) was elected as 2nd vice-chairman. Rüdiger Dzuban (ONI Wärmetrafo) takes over the 1st chairmanship. Rainer Friedhelm König (Pflitsch GmbH & Co. KG) is 2nd assessor and Stefanie Schmeling (SL3D GmbH) takes over the 3rd assessor’s seat. Tobias Wieber, Wirtschaftsförderung Oberbergischer Kreis was elected as Managing Director for another 4 years. “Synergies and added value are created as soon as all actors of the association participate in the community of KIO e.V.. It is a great concern of mine to promote an intensive getting to know each other as well as a constant exchange among each other. In this way, all KIO members can benefit from our strong community,” says Frank Barlog. “I am looking forward to this new task and a constructive cooperation with the entire board as well as the members of the association,” he adds.
