Engelskirchen Plastics Technology Days: A break for new impulses

Overath, February 10, 2025 For over 25 years, the Engelskirchen Plastics Technology Days (EKTT) have been a fixture in the industry – a place for innovation, exchange and valuable contacts. BARLOG Plastics GmbH not only wants to continue this success story, but also to develop it for the future. BARLOG Plastics has therefore decided to suspend the EKTT this year and use the time to revise the concept in a targeted manner.

This decision is based on the direct and open exchange with exhibitors and visitors, who have provided valuable feedback. Many of the long-standing partners have signaled that they are being forced to cut their budgets due to the current economic challenges and the associated uncertainties. At the same time, it is expected that this development will also have an impact on the number of participants, making it more difficult to hold the event under the current circumstances. Instead of holding the EKTT under difficult conditions and possibly with a lower response, BARLOG Plastics has made a conscious decision to take a strategic break.

“This decision was not easy for us, but we are pursuing the clear goal of further developing the event in the future and making it even more valuable for everyone involved.
We are convinced that taking time out will help to raise the EKTT to a new level in the long term,” says Peter Barlog, Managing Partner of BARLOG Plastics GmbH.

BARLOG Plastics is also offering the new Impulse³ series of events this year so that the specialist community does not have to miss out on a valuable exchange of ideas. Here, targeted, compact forums on specific topics will be created to address the current discussion needs of the industry.The kick-off event on the topic of metal replacement has already met with great interest – the first two dates are fully booked, and there are still places available for April 3.Further topics and dates will follow.While BARLOG Plastics is working in parallel on the further development of EKTT, all interested parties are cordially invited to use Impulse³ as an opportunity to find out about the latest developments, maintain valuable contacts and discuss current issues.
