Engelskirchen Plastics Technology Day 2026: compact conference for practical innovations
Overath, February 11, 2026 After a one-year hiatus, the Engelskirchen Plastics Technology Day (EKTT) is returning with a new, clearly focused format. On April 23, 2026, plastics technology experts will meet at the Kardinal Schulte Haus in Bergisch Gladbach for a compact conference featuring practical specialist presentations, intensive networking, and the presentation of the Innovation Award.
Proven platform – redesigned and in a new location
For many years, the Engelskirchen Plastics Technology Day has been one of the established industry gatherings for decision-makers and specialists in the plastics industry. In 2026, the EKTT is deliberately setting new accents: as a pure conference event with a clear focus on knowledge transfer, current challenges, and application-oriented solutions. “We are delighted to be organizing this year’s EKTT with a new concept, enabling us to respond even better to the wishes of visitors with a professional interest,” says Peter Barlog, managing partner of BARLOG Plastics GmbH.
For the first time, the event will take place at the Kardinal Schulte Haus in Bergisch Gladbach. The modern conference environment offers optimal conditions for high-quality specialist presentations and personal discussions in a professional setting – far away from the hustle and bustle of trade fairs and close to the relevant topics of the industry.
Practical presentations and awards for innovation
The program focuses on practice-oriented specialist presentations on current technological and strategic issues in plastics technology.
A special highlight is the presentation of the Award for Innovation, which honors projects that convincingly combine technical performance and sustainable thinking. “Especially at a time when the plastics industry in Germany is facing profound changes, we want to use this award to highlight the innovative strength that exists within companies,” says Peter Barlog. “That’s why we are delighted to be able to provide exciting insights into innovative plastics projects from companies such as ABB, Vorwerk, Webasto, Lüttgens, and Keune & Lauber,” he adds.
The EKTT sees itself as a platform for professional exchange on an equal footing. It is aimed at experts from development, design, production, and management who want to gather inspiration, share experiences, and make new contacts.
