EKTT 2026: Agenda released
Overath, March 17, 2026 – The agenda for the 28th Engelskirchen Plastics Technology Day (EKTT) has been finalized. On April 23, 2026, BARLOG Plastics invites professionals from the plastics industry to the Kardinal Schulte Haus in Bergisch Gladbach-Bensberg. With the program now published, the event’s profile is taking shape as a compact professional conference with a clear focus on practical innovations, application-oriented presentations, and intensive professional exchange.
For many years, the EKTT has been one of the established meeting places for decision-makers and specialists in plastics technology. In its 28th edition, the format deliberately focuses on a concentrated conference day featuring high-caliber technical presentations and networking in a professional setting. The 2026 event will be complemented by the presentation of an Innovation Award for forward-looking projects.
High-caliber conference program
The conference program, now published, covers a wide range of topics from strategic issues such as costs, time-to-market, and carbon footprint to specific applications in household appliances, the automotive sector, energy technology, and e-mobility. The agenda includes presentations by Vorwerk, Lüttgens Polymer Technologies, EMS-Grivory, ABB Germany, Webasto, and Keune & Lauber. The content focuses in particular on material selection, damage prevention, metal replacement, and functionalized plastics in series applications.
Keynote Speech, Best Practices & Innovation Award
Peter Barlog, managing partner of BARLOG Plastics GmbH, will kick off the event by opening the conference and delivering a presentation on the systematic optimization of cost-effectiveness and sustainability throughout the material and product development process. Later in the day, technical presentations on best practices from industrial implementation will follow, before the event concludes with a vote, award ceremony, and closing remarks around 4:30 p.m. “The published agenda demonstrates how consistently we have aligned EKTT 2026 with concrete practical relevance and technical value. Participants can expect a compact conference day covering topics currently shaping the plastics industry—from material efficiency and metal replacement to sustainable and cost-effective product solutions,” says Peter Barlog, managing partner of BARLOG Plastics GmbH.
