BARLOG Plastics welcomed many technology enthusiasts at “Night of Technology

Overath, 16.05.2023 BARLOG Plastics took part in the “Night of Technology – Oberberg” event for the first time and welcomed many guests in Overath. On Friday, 5 May 2023 between 6 p.m. and midnight, technology enthusiasts and people of all ages with a thirst for knowledge had the opportunity to get to know the family-owned company in Overath and to experience innovative and sustainable processes in plastics production during interactive guided tours.

Many visitors on a discovery and experience tour “From the idea to the series”.

“From the idea to the series” describes the product and service portfolio of BARLOG Plastics GmbH briefly and succinctly, but just as diversely and comprehensively. As part of the “Night of Technology – Oberberg”, the Overath-based company opened its doors and gates to all technology enthusiasts and showed visitors along individual process steps how an initial idea is turned into a finished plastic component. Interactive tours of the company and the technical centre in Overath took place every hour between 6 p.m. and midnight on Friday, 5 May 2023. “We are pleased that so many interested people found their way to us in Overath. The guided tours we offered were very well attended and showed the interested visitors at first hand what the “fascination of plastics” means to us,” said Peter Barlog, Managing Partner of BARLOG Plastics GmbH.

Sustainability also an important topic for guests

The transformation to climate-neutral, sustainable production is one of the central tasks of the industry in the coming years. Even among the guests themselves, one senses that the desire for sustainable products and solutions is increasingly coming into focus. “We had some exciting conversations where you can tell that end consumers care about sustainable products,” says Peter Barlog. “We are constantly working on optimising the design of components so that the focus can be placed on sustainable materials and the possibility of recycling at an early stage,” he adds.

Consistently positive response to the event

The well-filled tours and exciting discussions with the visitors were also a great pleasure for the employees of BARLOG Plastics GmbH. The positive mood and the many impressions made the evening a special experience for all visitors, who were able to round it off with finger food and drinks at BARLOG Plastics.
