BARLOG Plastics supports the Climate Economy Foundation’s appeal
Overath, 31.01.2024 Securing Germany’s future as a sustainable business location also depends on achieving the goal of climate neutrality. The Climate Economy Foundation and its member companies are calling on the democratic parties to ensure long-term transformation processes and investment decisions in order to make Germany fit for the future. The family-run company BARLOG Plastics joins this appeal and supports the call for democracy, transformation and sustainability.
A sustainable economic model is a project of the century
Transformation is a long-term process. Companies undergoing the transformation to a sustainable economic model need the support of many stakeholders. This also includes politicians, who have the task of creating the right framework conditions for companies so that long-term investment decisions can be made for the transformation process and are sustainable. This is the only way to maintain Germany as a business location for society and secure jobs.
No chance for right-wing extremism
The many different cultures in the companies, including BARLOG Plastics of course, stand for diversity, cordial cooperation and tolerance. “We are concerned to see that parts of the population feel left behind and are being lured by right-wing extremist and anti-democratic populists,” says Peter Barlog, Managing Partner of BARLOG Plastics GmbH. “Democracy is a location factor and we reject any form of extremism, whether from the right, the left or motivated by religion,” he adds. The corporate values of BARLOG Plastics focus on the employees and their cultural diversity for respectful and humane cooperation.
Strong together and being heard
BARLOG Plastics GmbH joins the more than 50 companies of the Climate Economy Foundation and is in favour of a faster transformation of Germany as a business location. The economy needs a common vision for 2045, competitive energy prices, a further development of the debt brake as well as uniform standards and lead markets to ensure international competitiveness. The appeal is addressed to all democratic parties in order to secure companies and thus also jobs in Germany. “We urgently need support from politicians in order to put the transformation processes and innovation decisions of companies on a secure footing,” concludes Peter Barlog.
