BARLOG Plastics awarded EcoVadis silver medal once again
Overath, July 16, 2026 – BARLOG Plastics GmbH has once again been awarded the EcoVadis Silver Medal. The sustainability rating agency EcoVadis evaluates companies in the areas of the environment, ethics, labor and human rights, and sustainable procurement. This year, BARLOG Plastics GmbH ranked among the top 15% of evaluated companies thanks to its commitment to environmental and corporate social responsibility projects, and improved its performance in the areas of ethics and procurement.
BARLOG Plastics Reaffirms Its Commitment to Sustainability with Another EcoVadis Silver Medal
BARLOG Plastics GmbH has once again been awarded the Silver Medal by the international sustainability rating agency EcoVadis this year. This recognition confirms the company’s ongoing commitment to the areas of environment, ethics, labor and human rights, and sustainable procurement.
Sustainability has been an integral part of BARLOG Plastics’ corporate strategy for many years. Since 2019, the company has been consistently expanding its portfolio to include sustainable material solutions. These include high-quality compounds made from recycled materials, such as PET, PC, PC/ABS, PA12, PPS, and PEEK. In addition, BARLOG Plastics supports its customers in developing sustainable plastic components through its BARLOG ECO-Consulting service.
BARLOG Plastics also continues to implement sustainable measures at its two company locations in Overath and Dattenfeld. Purchasing electricity from renewable sources, utilizing its own photovoltaic system, and making further investments to improve energy efficiency all make an important contribution to reducing the company’s environmental footprint.

That is why we are consistently working to further develop our performance in all relevant areas.”
Significant Progress in Ethics and Sustainable Procurement
The improvements in the areas of ethics and sustainable procurement are particularly encouraging. In the area of ethics, BARLOG Plastics increased its score from 65 to 79 out of a possible 100 points. The company also improved its score in the area of sustainable procurement. This development underscores the company’s ongoing efforts to further expand responsible corporate governance and to integrate sustainability aspects more closely into its collaboration with business partners and suppliers.
“We view the current rating as recognition of our work to date and, at the same time, as motivation to further advance our sustainability activities,” explains Nicole Lange. “The improvements we’ve achieved show that our measures are having an impact. At the same time, we know that sustainability is a long-term process that we want to actively shape together with our employees, customers, and partners.”
Sustainability Goals Remain Firmly in Focus
BARLOG Plastics will continue to consistently pursue its sustainability strategy in the future. A particular focus remains on reducing the CO₂ footprint. The company continues to pursue its goal of significantly reducing its CO₂ emissions by 2030 compared to the base year of 2018. The measures taken so far are having a positive impact and confirm that BARLOG Plastics is well on its way to achieving this goal.
