BARLOG Plastics at the Silicone Expo 2024 in Amsterdam
Overath, 05.02.2024 BARLOG Plastics, a family-owned company from Overath, will be exhibiting for the first time at this year’s Silicone Expo in Amsterdam. At stand 537, the plastics expert will be showing interested visitors innovative solutions from the LSR sector. The company will also be presenting its extensive service portfolio “from the idea to series production”, demonstrating its many years of expertise along the entire product development chain.
Silicone Expo 2024 will take place on 28 and 29 February 2024 at RAI Amsterdam and is the central meeting point for experts from the automotive, electronics, healthcare and packaging sectors. BARLOG Plastics, from Overath near Cologne, will be showcasing its broad portfolio of materials and services at this year’s Silicone Expo at stand 537, which includes the entire development of plastic components. This primarily includes LSR multi-component injection moulding with components made of high-performance plastics, LSR prototypes and small series as well as computer-aided engineering services to bring components to market maturity quickly and cost-effectively.
High-quality plastic prototypes and small series
BARLOG Plastics specialises in the production of injection-moulded prototypes as well as pre-series and small series. In addition to liquid silicone (LSR), the company also processes thermoplastics and thermoplastic elastomers. “One of our core competences is the production of high-quality plastic prototypes,” explains Frank Barlog. “We have been a plastics expert on the market for more than 27 years and are a reliable partner for our customers,” he adds.
LSR multi-component injection moulding with components made from high-performance plastics
LSR is known for its exceptional flexibility and temperature resistance, while high-performance plastics are known for their mechanical strength and chemical resistance. BARLOG Plastics offers the combination of these materials through multi-component injection moulding, opening up a wide range of applications for its customers in the production of complex and highly functional components. For example, seals can be integrated directly into high-strength housings, which is a great advantage in the automotive industry, aerospace and medical devices.
The main advantages of LSR multi-component injection moulding are cost efficiency, improved component performance and reliability and the design freedom it offers. Multi-component injection moulding reduces assembly costs and potential errors in the assembly phase. By combining different materials in a single component, specific properties can be placed in a targeted manner, offering great design freedom in product design.
Time and cost savings thanks to computer-aided engineering
Cooperation with BARLOG Plastics is characterised by proximity to the customer, agile exchange at eye level and fast and optimal realisation of projects. From computer-aided engineering, 3D designs and simulations to design for manufacturing – the team of experts offers comprehensive support throughout the entire development process. In addition, customers can also be supported in the optimisation of existing processes, be it through consulting, simulations, capability analyses or CT analyses.
BARLOG Plastics’ entire service portfolio focuses on increasing the cost-effectiveness of projects, improving the quality of components, optimising sustainability aspects and reducing CO2 emissions. Visitors to Silicone Expo will have an excellent opportunity to talk directly to the expert stand team and find out about the latest innovations and technologies.
You will find BARLOG Plastics at stand 537.
