BAHSYS at the Hanover Fair 2018

Under the theme “Key Technologies & New Materials from NRW”, the stand of the Ministry for Economic Affairs, Energy, Industry, SMEs and Trade of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia went to the start at the Hannover Messe. With its key competence for plastics solutions, BAHSYS was also present this year. The service provider presented its entire service portfolio: From feasibility analyses and material selection, CAE services and laboratory testing to prototype development and pre-series and small-series production. “With enthusiasm for technology and plastics know-how, we accompany our customers with individual solutions in a short time – from error analysis to the improvement or complete reinvention of systems and products,” says Managing Director Frank Barlog. The goal is rapid product development resulting in high-quality plastic parts.

For example, BAHSYS has expanded its protosys® business area and now offers LSR prototypes and small batches in the Liquid Injection Molding series process in addition to the production of injection-molded prototypes from all commercially available thermoplastics. In addition, the BAHSYS portfolio now includes the manufacture of 3D-printed injection molds: these can be produced much faster and more cost-effectively than the usual molds made of steel, making them particularly suitable for initial prototypes and very small batches.

Hannover Messe dealt with all topics of the industrial value chain. “Plastics are playing an increasingly important role in industrial manufacturing due to their properties – lightweight, resistant, cost-effective and malleable,” Barlog commented on BAHSYS’ participation in the fair.
