Material solutions from BARLOG Plastics at K 2025
Overath, 5 September 2025 – BARLOG Plastics GmbH will be exhibiting at K in Düsseldorf from 8 to 15 October 2025. At the joint stand of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia in Hall 6, Stand D76, the company will present the latest developments in the fields of materials technology, materials development and engineering services. Trade visitors will gain insights into materials solutions for demanding applications, as well as services relating to materials selection, component development and prototype manufacturing.
Expansion of the KEBALLOY® ECO portfolio: New materials based on recycled content for structural applications
BARLOG Plastics GmbH will be presenting new variants of the KEBALLOY® ECO series at K 2025. The glass- and carbon-fibre-reinforced grades have been developed for structural applications with high requirements for strength and cost-effectiveness.
The materials are based on reprocessed engineering thermoplastics derived from post-consumer and post-industrial recyclates, which are processed into new compounds under quality-assured conditions. This makes materials available for applications where metallic materials have frequently been used to date, for example in the automotive or consumer goods sectors.
For visible applications, the portfolio also includes unreinforced grades with high-quality surfaces, high scratch resistance and good colour stability.
Wide range of materials for technically demanding applications
The portfolio also includes materials based on bio-based raw materials, as well as PFAS-free solutions for applications where PTFE-containing materials were previously used.
Thanks to the modular structure of the materials portfolio, specific requirements—such as flame retardancy, thermal stability or weather resistance—can be specifically addressed.
“Our customers benefit not only from bespoke materials, but also from comprehensive application-specific advice, precise material data and efficient development processes. With our wide-ranging portfolio of services – from materials testing and computer-aided engineering to prototype and pre-series production – we create the conditions for the rapid and cost-effective implementation of new product concepts,” says Peter Barlog, managing partner of BARLOG Plastics GmbH.
Focus on the further development of high-performance materials and engineering services
By continuously expanding its range of materials and services, BARLOG Plastics supports companies in the selection and development of application-specific material concepts.
The KEBALLOY® ECO series forms part of the range of materials containing recycled content, which is complemented by engineering and consultancy services. These include, amongst other things, material evaluations, material testing and the technical and economic analysis of various material options.
