BARLOG Plastics optimizes product development with CAE services at K 2025

Overath, September 29, 2025 At the K-Messe 2025 trade fair, which will take place in Düsseldorf from October 8 to 15, BARLOG Plastics GmbH will present itself as an innovative solution provider for the plastics industry. At the joint stand of the state of North Rhine-Westphalia (Hall 6, Stand D76), the company will showcase its latest developments in the areas of material development, digital product creation, prototype construction, and modern injection molding technologies. The trade fair presentation will focus on practical and customizable solutions that combine environmental responsibility with technical performance and economic efficiency. Digital development aids as a component development service

The use of digital tools is a decisive success factor in product development today. BARLOG Plastics supports customers with CAE services to increase development quality and avoid costly iteration loops. Injection molding simulations, FEM structural analyses, and thermal investigations allow weak points and optimization potential to be identified early on in the development phase.

Precise material characterization for optimal injection molding simulation

“The quality of an injection molding simulation stands and falls with the accuracy of the material data used,” explains Tobias Haedecke, Head of Engineering at BARLOG Plastics. The company has therefore expanded its range of services to include precise material characterization in its own testing laboratory. A particular focus is on determining exact pvT data (pressure-volume-temperature behavior), which is essential for realistic representation of the processing process in injection molding. By taking this data into account at an early stage, potential sources of error can be identified and avoided as early as the design phase – resulting in shorter development times, lower production costs, and faster market launch.

Digital material data for optimized processes

BARLOG Plastics relies on the isobaric measurement method to determine pvT data, which provides a particularly practical representation of plastic characterization. In contrast to the frequently used isothermal method, the isobaric approach delivers significantly more precise results because it examines behavior in a process-oriented manner.
