Sustainable material solutions from BARLOG Plastics at K 2025
Overath, September 5, 2025 BARLOG Plastics GmbH will be exhibiting at K in Düsseldorf from October 8 to 15, 2025. As a forward-looking supplier in the field of plastics technology, the company will be presenting its latest developments at the joint stand of the state of North Rhine-Westphalia in Hall 6, Stand D76. Trade visitors can look forward to innovative and practical solutions tailored to the diverse challenges facing the industry.
Expansion of the sustainable materials portfolio: New KEBALLOY ECO grades as a high-performance alternative to metal
At K 2025, BARLOG Plastics GmbH will be presenting new variants of the KEBALLOY ECO series, which have been specially developed for structural applications with the highest requirements in terms of strength, sustainability, and cost optimization. The glass and carbon fiber-reinforced grades consist of recycled engineering thermoplastics that are mechanically processed and quality-assured before being converted into new high-performance compounds. The result is a high-performance and environmentally friendly alternative to metal in load-bearing applications, such as in the automotive or consumer goods sectors. Unreinforced grades are available for visible applications, characterized by brilliant surfaces, high scratch resistance, and excellent color stability.
Wide range of materials for technically demanding applications
The portfolio also includes bio-based plastics and PFAS-free solutions for applications that previously required PTFE-containing materials. BARLOG Plastics is thus contributing to the substitution of critical substances. Thanks to the modular structure of the material portfolio, specific requirements—such as flame resistance, thermal stability, or weather resistance—can also be specifically taken into account. “Our customers benefit not only from tailor-made materials, but also from comprehensive application technology consulting, precise material data, and efficient development processes. With our broad service portfolio—from material testing and computer-aided engineering to prototype and pre-series production—we create the conditions for sustainable product ideas to be brought to market quickly and safely,” says Peter Barlog, managing partner of BARLOG Plastics GmbH.
Focus on developing further innovative and sustainable materials
By continuously expanding its range of sustainable materials and services, BARLOG Plastics supports companies in combining environmental responsibility with economic efficiency—and breaking new ground for sustainable plastics technology. The KEBALLOY ECO series is part of the company’s sustainability strategy, which is underlined by an EcoVadis rating. Interested visitors can find BARLOG Plastics at K 2025 in Hall 6, Booth D76.
